2001 News Archive22 July 2001 The First Highland Watch of Pennsylvania made its 2001 competition debut at the Rockland County Feis. Overall band members were pleased with this outing. The band played its newly-revamped medley for this competition and expects to improve its placing. The band will next compete at the Capital District games in Schenectady, NY. 1 May 2001 Rich Hall Assumes Instructor Position for First Highland Watch. The First Highland Watch announced
today that it had formally extended an offer to Rich Hall of Delmar &
District Pipe Band to assume the instructor's position left vacant following
Ian Ferrick's March departure. 13 March 2001 Jeff Clarke reassumed the position of Pipe
Major, a position he had previously held from 1980 to 1996. This was the
result of the departure of former PM/Instructor, Ian Ferrick who left
the Watch to join the Worcester Kiltie Pipe Band in Boston.
